Anthony is a graduate from Albany State with a degree in Broadcast Meteorology. He was top forecaster at SUNY Albany and won a national forecast trophy. He has appeared on News12 and is a weather producer for The Today Show and Good Morning America etal. Aside from forecasting nor’easters, huirricanes and severe weather his other big passion is  music. All kinds. He has a DJ business and works parties, lounges and events around the NY area. In his spare time Anthony also enjoys reading, biking, keeping up on current events, traveling and spending time with family and friends.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,

western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York and

southern Vermont.

DAY ONE…Today and tonight.

There is a Slight Risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and

evening. The main threat will be damaging winds of 58 mph or greater.

Large hail and a tornado or two cannot be ruled out. Thunderstorms may produce locally

heavy rainfall through tonight. Urban and poor drainage flooding and isolated flash flooding is

possible.

 

Today: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Light south wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Saturday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 11am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 11am and 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Cloudy, with a high near 78. West wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. North wind 5 to 7 mph becoming northeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Sunday: A slight chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Northeast wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
