This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut, Western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York and southern Vermont.

Tuesday through Sunday: Periods of heavy rain may cause localized flooding of urban, low-lying, poor-drainage areas and small creeks on Tuesday. Some additional showers may also cause localized urban and low lying flooding on Wednesday as well, especially for locations that saw heavy rain on Tuesday.

Strong southeast winds are possible in favored locations on Tuesday, such as the Berkshires, as well as the eastern Catskills and southern Adirondacks. This may result in a few downed tree limbs, which may cause some isolated power outages.

Thunderstorms are possible on Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening along or ahead of a cold front, some of which may produce strong to damaging wind gusts. The Storm Prediction Center has placed all eastern New York and adjacent western New England within a Slight Risk for severe thunderstorms for Wednesday.

THAT WARM – HUMID AIR FLOWS NORTH WEDNESDAY WHEN EVERYONE IS IN THE 80S WITH SOME SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.

LOOKS LIKE THAT MIDWEST COLD FRONT SHOULD PUSH ACROSS THE AREA THURSDAY WHEN THINGS BEGIN TO DRY OUT AND CLEAR UP. NICE WEATHER FOLLOWS FRIDAY AND GUESS WHAT? THE NICE WEATHER COULD EASILY CONTINUE INTO OUR FIRST FULL FALL WEEKEND.
