 WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 10 PM THIS EVENING TO1 AM EST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of  2 to 5 inches and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch.

* WHERE...The eastern Catskills, mid Hudson Valley, southern Berkshires and Litchfield Connecticut.

* WHEN...Snow begins late this evening and continues through early  Tuesday morning. Snow will mix with and change to sleet and  freezing rain from daybreak Tuesday through Tuesday morning.  Mixed precipitation continues through Tuesday afternoon. Mixed  precipitation changes briefly to snow Tuesday evening before  ending.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous  conditions could impact the morning and evening commutes.

Satellite shows moisture streaming up from Gulf along East Coast. Some snow Plains to Rockies...that system to reach East Coast late Monday into Tuesday.  By mid to late next week...much colder air will cover much of the Nation.
