This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut and
Dutchess and Ulster Counties of east central New York.
DAY ONE…Today and tonight:
Locally heavy rain today into could produce ponding of water on roadways and poor drainage flooding of low-lying areas. In addition, late this afternoon into tonight, isolated
thunderstorms are possible. There is a marginal risk an isolated storm or two may produce damaging winds.
Today: Rain. The rain could be heavy at times. High near 60. East wind 6 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Tonight: Rain and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 60. East wind 5 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tuesday: Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 3pm, then a chance of rain and thunderstorms after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 78. Southwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tuesday Night: A chance of rain and thunderstorms, mainly between 11pm and 2am. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday: A slight chance of rain and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78. Light north wind. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
