 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwestern Connecticut,western Massachusetts, east central New York, eastern New York  

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight. There is a chance of thunderstorms tonight, mainly after midnight.Severe weather is not expected at this time. 

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Thunderstorms will become likely on Wednesday. There is a slight risk for severe weather with the main threat being damaging wind gusts.Large hail and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. Locally heavy rainfall may lead to urban and poor drainage flooding and isolated flash flooding. 

Today: Sunny, with a high near 82. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable.  

Tonight: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.  

Wednesday: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 11am. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. South wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.  

Wednesday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 11pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 11pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. South wind around 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.  

Thursday: A chance of showers, mainly after 11am. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. West wind 5 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.  

Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 58. Chance of precipitation is 20%. 

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74.
